Happy New Year!
Rosh Hashanah is just 2 days away! Actually, it starts tomorrow night. It is the beginning of a new year in the Jewish calendar. It is a time of reflection, thanksgiving, and a promise for a sweet year ahead.
This year, things are just a little sweeter. Our son, Elias Solomon, was due on Sept 19th - the 1st Day of Rosh Hashanah. We were blessed (2 weeks ago today) on September 3rd, when Eli decided to join our family just a little bit early!
We have had the honor and privilege of being his parents for 14 days now, and in that time we have already seen what joy and blessing he has brought to the world. It is a miraculous event when anyone gets the opportunity to bring life into the world, and it is an awesome privilege to be able to nurture and guide this little boy as he goes through life!
So, as we prepare for one year to end and another to begin, we reflect on the beauty and sanctity of life. And we wish everyone a happy, healthy, and especially sweet new year!

To the parents of Eli(as) Solomon Blaiss:
Know that your parents thought the same when each of you were born. We hold each of you in a special place in our hearts, for you too continue to be a joy, and parenting you continues to be a priviledge.
And as you grow with your new son, remember your own beautiful words EVERY DAY, especially through the difficult ones that will come here and there.
Love,
Mom and Dad
